More than 20 colorful hot air balloons floating against a vivid blue sky is an awe-inspiring sight and now hot air balloon-loving Clevelanders can make the 2.5 hour trek and witness that spectacle up close and personal at the annual Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival being held Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7.
Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival The oldest hot air balloon festival event in Ohio, the Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival has been a favorite with visitors for more than 30 years. This free, family-oriented event will feature a multitude of hot air balloons, live musical entertainment, food, crafters and carnival rides at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds.
Spectators will be able to watch the hot air balloons taking off and landing and floating across the countryside. A highlight of the event will be the “Night Glow” ( a great photo opportunity!) taking place on Friday evening at 9 p.m.
Balloon launch hours are currently scheduled for 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. on Friday and 6:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. The times may vary depending on weather.
Other activities at the Festival include a craft and gift show and fireworks on Saturday night.
Performers include members of Miss Jody’s Dance Studio, Danielle Peck and magician Jeff Leonard.
