April 8, 6-9 p.m. – Sample the Shore – Following the closing of Restaurant Madness in March, 94.3 The Point and Driscoll Foods will host their first-ever “Sample the Shore” Tasting Event. April 9, 6-8 p.m. – Stag’s Leap Wine Dinner at the Atlantic City Bottle Company (ACBC) and on-site speakeasy style bar/lounge, The Iron Room will host a specially-prepared four-course dinner paired with the exquisite wines of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. Stag’s Leap is one of California’s earliest and most prestigious wine estates. Chef Kevin has developed a fabulous meal to pair with four marvelous Stag’s Leap wines. April 10, 7-10 p.m. – Salt Creek Grille Anniversary Wine and Martini Fundraiser – The beneficiary this year is Hope for Children Foundation of New Jersey (HFCF). HFCF is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) charitable organization of young professionals, entrepreneurs and parents in Monmouth County working together to raise funds to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. Salt Creek Grille Managing Partner, Steve Bidgood, started the event 11 years ago to celebrate the popular, award-winning restaurant’s 5th anniversary and to support local charities. In addition to the evening’s fundraiser for HFCF, Salt Creek Grille employee, Brendan Kirchner, who will be running in the Jersey Shore Marathon on April 27, has pledged his run to raise additional funds for HFCF.
The evening includes six wine vendors, who will pour premiere wines and a spirits vendor who will be shaking specialty martinis. Salt Creek Grille will provide passed hors d’oeuvres, pasta and carving stations. Local business favorites will include artisanal cheeses from Sickles Market and a raw bar by Lusty Lobster. Their master archivist pieces together the story of how whiskies from closed distilleries might have tasted when they last distilled, with the goal to create present day interpretations of single malts of long lost legends.
