The extended forecast calls for a chance of showers on Friday with a low around 50 and a high in the mid to upper 60s. Clouds and sun on Saturday with a low in the middle 40s and a high in the lower 60s. Mostly sunny on Sunday with a low in the middle 40s and a high in the upper 50s. A chance of rain showers on Monday with a low in the upper 40s and a high in the mid 50s.
Temperatures this morning were fairly mild with readings in the lower 40s. High pressure will provide the Middle Atlantic region with a sunny and seasonably mild day today with highs in the 50s, a bit cooler than average but close to the normal high this time of year which is near 60 degrees. High pressure will move off the coast later this afternoon. Meanwhile, a cold front will approach the area from the west later tonight. The frontal passage will produce more clouds on Wednesday, but it will remain mild with highs in the 60s as a southerly flow develops in advance of the front. There is a slight chance of showers on Wednesday, but precipitation will be light and scattered as the front will have little moisture associated with it. Another cold front will approach the area later in the week and a wave of low pressure is expected to develop along the front. This will produce more widespread rain showers on Thursday and Friday. Rain showers may persist into Saturday morning, but by Sunday high pressure will build over the area with a return to sunshine.
