The extended forecast calls for sunshine on Saturday with a low around 50 and a high in the lower 70s. Mostly sunny on Sunday with a low in the upper 40s and a high in the mid 60s. Clouds and sun on Monday with a few showers. The low will be in the upper 40s and the high will be in the lower 60s. Cloudy on Tuesday with rain showers. A cold front will moved from west to east across the region yesterday and produced rain showers as well as isolated thunderstorms yesternight. Temperatures behind the front reached the lower to middle 70s on Tuesday, but thermometer readings are significantly cooler today as a fresh northwest wind overspreads the region. Temperatures this afternoon are only in the upper 50s with northwest winds gusting over 25 miles per hour at times. As we move into the evening hours, winds will diminish and temperatures will fall quickly under a clear sky. Readings will fall into the upper 30s by Thursday morning. High pressure will continue to build over the Middle Atlantic states on Thursday, providing the area with plenty of sunshine and seasonable temperatures as highs climb back into the 60s. Another cold front is expected to approach the area on Friday. This will result in more cloudiness and rain showers. Looking ahead to the weekend, a sunny and warmer Saturday is anticipated with highs reaching the lower 70s. High pressure in Canada will build into the region on Sunday. Sunny weather will continue, but temperatures will be cooler with highs only in the mid 60s.
