Brian’s exclusive forecast for Baltimore, Annapolis, and northern Delmarva:
Today: Variable cloudiness with scattered showers. The high will be around 60.
Tonight: Rain showers likely. Breezy at times. Low around 50.
Saturday: Windy at times with increasing sunshine. The high will be around 60.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear with a low in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high in the mid 50s.
The extended forecast calls for a chance of rain showers on Monday with a low in the mid 40s and a high in the mid 50s. Clouds and sun on Tuesday with a low in the mid 40s and a high in the mid 50s. Mostly sunny on Wednesday with a low in the lower 40s and a high in the upper 50s. Mostly sunny on Thursday with a low in the upper 30s and a high in the lower 60s.
A frontal system near the border of Virginia and North Carolina will lift northward through the region today as a warm front. Clouds and showers associated with the front will persist through the afternoon hours. Temperatures will moderate from the upper 40s in the morning to the lower 60s later this afternoon. Rainfall will be rather light, although a few moderate showers can be expected. After the warm front moves north overnight, a cold front will swing through the area from west to east toward morning. This will add to the instability in the atmosphere and produce more widespread showers and perhaps an isolated thundershower. Additionally, conditions will become windy toward morning as cooler and drier air overspreads the area in the wake of the cold front. Saturday will become increasingly sunny as the cold front moves to our southeast, but it will be windy at times with highs in the 50s to near 60. Sunday looks to be the most pleasant day of the weekend, although a bit cooler with highs only in the lower to middle 50s; however, winds will be much lighter on Sunday. By Monday, another frontal system will produce widespread rain showers in the Middle Atlantic region before sunshine returns next Tuesday and Wednesday.
