A dead man wakes up just a few hours after being officially pronounced dead by a coroner and the incident shocked everyone at the funeral home. The dead man’s relatives couldn’t believe it when they heard of the news. Here’s what the man’s nephew, Eddie Hester, had to say about the incident…“It’s a miracle.I don’t know how long he’s gonna be here, but right now he’s here, and the whole family is glad.” According to local news station WAPT News, Walter Williams, 78, of Lexington, Miss., reportedly died at his home Wednesday night and he was declared dead by the coroner at 9 p.m.
“I stood there and watched them put him in a body bag and zipped it up,” Eddie Hester, said.
The supposedly dead man was then transported to a nearby funeral home in Lexington. A short time later, leaders at the funeral home received the shock of their lives when they came in and heard what was supposed to be a dead man, kicking in a body bag.
The manager of the funeral home, Byron Porter, said: “I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Obviously, when a dead man wakes up the story will most likely trigger a slew of questions and police and other officials are still trying to figure out exactly how this was possible. Reportedly, the coroner said he checked Williams’ pulse that night and it showed no signs of life.

“I asked the coroner what happened, and the only thing he could say is that it’s a miracle,” Holmes County Sheriff Willie March said.
Williams was in shock and they sent him immediately to the hospital. Williams is currently in the hospital and breathing without the help of a respirator, but he is too weak to talk
It is still unclear as to whether or not the coroner was negligent in the matter but either way, the family is ecstatic to have the “resurrected” man back. A possible explanation the coroner gave was that Williams’ pacemaker may have stopped working and then started up again.
“I don’t know how long he’s going to be here, but I know he’s back right now. That’s all that matters,” a family member said.
This dead man wakes up story is not the first of its kind. A similar case occurred last year when an Australian man was pronounced dead for 40 minutes and was also “resurrected.” You can read that story here: Dead for 40 minutes: The tale of the resurrection of Colin Fiedler
