Do you see your phone, iPad, laptop as an accessory and color coordinate accordingly? Companies have definitely picked up the added benefit of giving options, to make your device expressive. Apple and Dell have inundated us with campaigns encouraging consumers to buy new, more customized devices. We’re also seeing the reverse. Traditional accessories, bracelets or rings, being able to track your location and send emergency alerts, track your fitness goals and connect to social media. Glamour tech is entering the scene. Companies like Cuff, are working on creating a whole new line of discreet tracking devices. There is a large cross over of fashion to tech and tech to fashion. But we don’t have to look to brand new names to bring us these new products. Fashion designers are no longer content to just “outfit” our technology, they are bringing their aesthetic straight to the devices themselves. Fitbits designed by Torch Burch and Rebecca Minkoff designing Bluetooth enabled jewelry for current runways are just a few examples of the marriage of couture and technology. I think their a cute couple
