Fans of the online multiplayer mode that accompanies Grand Theft Auto V now have a new selection of player-made missions added to the official playlist inside GTA Online. Appearing next to missions designed by Rockstar Games themselves, the developer announced the addition of 10 new jobs on Friday which were created by the community using GTA Online’s in-game mission creation tools.
Showcasing the best examples of user-generated content within Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar Games rotates an assortment of missions that were built by fans of the only mode directly in the title’s playlist menu. The Rockstar Verified jobs then become promoted for all other players to enjoy. Furthermore, the play-built missions are also made available to gamers on both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of GTA 5 regardless of what platform they were originally created on.
No longer considered to still be in Beta, the in-game mission creation tools for GTA Online launched with the ability for fans to build their own race and deathmatch jobs in the game’s multiplayer mode. Last month’s launch of the Capture Creator Update, however, added the option for players to also create missions using the “capture the flag” inspired capture.
Rockstar Games also recently released the High Life Update for GTA 5 which introduced new apartments, vehicles, weapons, and clothing to the game. Additionally, the patch gave gamers the option to own more than one property at the same time within GTA Online. This means new places for fans to call home as well as more garage storage.
With two updates already released so far this spring, Rockstar Games still has one final content patch planned for the season. The next update will finally allow players to experience online cooperative heist missions. Similar to the large robberies from the game’s single player campaign, only heists have been an anticipated feature since the launch of GTA Online last year.
