Do you ever find yourself out late at night, hungry, but don’t know where to go to satisfy your food cravings? This is Part One of the answer. If you are in Deep Ellum, Elm Street actually has got quite a bit to offer not only in music, but food as well.
Located at 2639 Elm is Zini’s Pizzeria, where their crust is made fresh every day. This Pizzeria is open until 3 a.m. on the weekends, closing at midnight the rest of the week. Zini’s menu offers something truly unique – the 100 Pounder pizza, with over 100 slices of pepporoni and a pound of cheese, possibly the most extreme pizza in Dallas.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is located at 2706 Elm Street. Fuzzy’s is open until midnight on Thursdays, and on Friday and Saturday nights, you can count on Fuzzy’s until 2 a.m. Other nights the doors close at 9 p.m. Fuzzy’s offers, of course, tacos, but also other Mexican favorites, grilled sandwiches, salads, and breakfast foods. The Green Room, at 2715 Elm, has a fantastic view, and the food here is pretty fantastic as well. The food at the Room is a step above what you would expect to find here on Elm Street..Some of the specialty items are Texas Short Rib Poutine, Blacktooth Burger, the ‘Shroom Wrap, and a variety of tacos priced at 2 for $8. The menu can be seen here. Food can be ordered at the Green Room up until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with the kitchen closing at 10 p.m. on week nights.
If you don’t want to waste any of your “music/party time” taking a break for food, don’t worry. The Boiler Room is the answer here. You can order burgers and tacos at the Boiler Room, located at the corner of Elm Street and Crowdus, until 2 a.m.
You can find Texas-sized pizza late night at Serious Pizza, 2807 Elm Street. These extra large slices of pizza are available until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturdays, 9 p.m. on Sundays, and 11 p.m. the other four nights of the week.
At 2815 Elm Street you will find the well known Cafe Brazil. This is the lone food spot on the street that is open 24 hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Other nights the doors close at midnight. Cafe Brazil has an amazing coffee selection that would be hard to beat. This restaurant has received widespread acclaim in the past few years including awards from the Dallas Observer, D Magazine and others including Best Breakfast, Best Late Night Dining, Best Coffee, Best BLT, and Best Grilled Cheese. The chef of this establishment, Cleo, appeared on Good Morning Texas in February, preparing the award winning American Grilled Cheese.
Glazed Donut Works at 2844 Elm is a popular spot for late-nighters with a sweet tooth. A unique offering is their doughnut ice cream sandwich.
