It’s maple sugaring season at Lake Metroparks Farmpark, every weekend beginning on February 22 and running through March 23, 2014.
Throughout each weekend, take part in hands-on activities and learn about the maple sugaring process as the sap is collected, boiled, and turned into maple syrup and other maple products. Visitors can help tap a tree and gather the sap that is used to make maple syrup then sample the freshly made maple syrup and maple sugar.
Other activities taking place include:
- Maple candy making demonstration
- Maple crafts
- Maple flavored ice cream making
- Sugar bush tours
- History of maple sugaring exhibit
