Narration: Peter Weller
This was a very nice look into how things got done in ancient Egypt. Not just the architectural side, but how project management was used and possible theories as to why the Egyptians built some of the things they did. Particularly interesting were the failed attempts and how water was put to work moving cargo and with irrigation. Supporting theories from Egyptologists and archeologists along with very nicely done graphical explanations of processes were quite educational. Some explanation of religious significance is included, along with social and political motivations, but the documentary focuses more on the technical aspect of Egyptian engineering.
This was a very nicely done exploration of Egyptian engineering done impressively in 90 minutes. With a good mix of history, theory, and technical aspects this is an episode well worth watching.
Nothing here to limit audience age.
