Morgan Freeman (Dr. Alex Cross), Ashley Judd (Dr. Kate McTiernan), Cary Elwes (Det. Ruskin), Alex McArthur (Det. Sikes), Tony Goldwyn (Dr. Rudolph), Jay Sanders (Agent Craig), Bill Nunn (Sampson), Brian Cox (Chief).
Kiss the Girls begins with a small bit of character background before slipping easily into the main story. After a brief tease we move back to a bit more character introduction and background before things really get rolling. The remainder of the film is a nice blend of suspense, intrigue, thriller, and some horror. Things finally come together with a well done ending.
Acting was very well done in Kiss the Girls. Freeman fit his role and executed very well. Judd did wonderfully despite her lack of experience bringing good emotion to the film. Elwes was appropriately creepy, as was McArthur and Rudolph. Nunn, Cox, and the remainder of the supporting cast were very good.
Camera work, sets, and backgrounds were all well done with good attention to detail and film appears to have had a nice budget to work with. Physical effects were executed nicely and fit the film well. Dialogue was enjoyable and fit the characters as well as moving the story along at a good pace. Sound and soundtrack were both good and more than just filler here.
Overall Kiss the Girls is a very well done crime thriller from every aspect. Fans of the genre, and those of psychological thrillers, should enjoy this one quite a lot.
With violence, foul language, violent sex, and generally disturbing images save this one for adults and above.
