Boston Common Magazine, a side of Boston that’s anything but common hosted a night of culinary couture at BOKX 109 at the Hotel Indigo, 399 Grove Street in Newton with a chef demo, fall fashion from Bloomngdales, a wine tasting and music from Matt Antunes and his band.
BOKX 109 American Prime has one of greater Boston’s most stylish patios over looking a roof top swimming pool for those hot summer days, fire pits when the night gets cool, an out door bar, cabanas for private dining and an ambiance of elegance. Owner Justin Krebbs and his lovely girlfriend along with general manager, Eric Eastman, director of sales and events Erica Weinstein and publisher Glen Kelly of Boston Common Magazine mingled among the guests.
A 2014 Rolls Royce Wraith wrapped in teal in honor of September being Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month greeted guests as they entered the hotel. The vehicle was brought to the Massachusetts NOCC Chapter’s 16th Annual 5K Run/Walk on September 5th, 2014 and served as a memorial wall on wheels whereby attendees of the 5K Run/Walk could sign the vehicle with markers leaving messages and names of loved ones who have battled the disease. The car will continue to be positioned throughout Massachusetts for the duration of September at events to help continue raising awareness about ovarian cancer. Every Tuesday and Friday evenings there is a live band at the BOKX 109 and on Saturday evenings there is a disc jockey. If you didn’t catch their Sunday pool parties, there’s always next year!
