Instant Karma baby. A road rage video is making its rounds online this week, not only because cell phone video caught this road raging menace, but because of how this lunatic ended up – in a ditch with his smashed up big boy truck wrapped around a light pole.
According to NewsMax today, on Monday in Tampa, “Tracy Lynn Sloan noticed a black pickup truck following her very closely on U.S. 41. After a few minutes of being tailgated, Sloan took out her cell phone and started recording.”
The Florida man tailgating her, 33-year-old Jeffrey Travis White, was arrested after Sloan’s video, entitled “Redneck Road Rage” was submitted to the cops.
White was charged with leaving the scene of an accident – his own – and for reckless driving.
Sloan’s YouTube video has since gone bananas, gathering well over 4 million views as of today, along with hundreds of comments (since disabled) revealing just how good it feels, even vicariously, to finally see a madcap driver get his just desserts.
To be clear, White was not injured in the accident. As Sloan said: “This moron could have easily killed somebody with his moronic behavior, and my laughing at the end would have been replaced with tears. Needless to say though, I’ve never seen Karma come back so fast.”
Sloan told her story on the YouTube post, which reads, in part:
This pathetic excuse for a human being tailgated me for about three minutes. After about a minute, and me shaking my head, I pulled out my phone and started recording. I couldn’t move over because there were trucks in the right lane, and I sure as heck wasn’t going to speed on a rainy day with the roads being as slick as they were. I was turning left in about a half-mile when this happened.
Now bear in mind, that this guy had already passed a truck in a left turn lane, was tailgating and driving recklessly on a wet slick road, wasn’t paying attention, and all in all being an ignorant [expletive]. Not once was I mouthing off, I never brake checked him, and in fact until I watched the video after the accident I didn’t even know he shot a bird at me because I wasn’t looking at him at all.
The video shows White right on top of Sloan’s vehicle rear, then speeding up to pull alongside her, very close, as he stares at her and flicks her off. But the kicker is when White, more concerned about insulting Sloan than his own safety or that of others, spun out across the road and careened into a light pole.
Sloan got a priceless last laugh in.
“That’s what you get! All on video buddy!” she yelled at the ditch-bound road rager.
Oh how good that must have felt.
