Have you ever in your wildest imagination tried to figure God out? Where He come from? Who created Him, or, how he can be in more than one place at the same time? Truly God placed in His Word what He deemed necessary for us to know about Him. My word of advice to you is, don’t try to figure God out, you’re just wasting your time! No where in the Bible does it tells of God’s origin. And no one for certain created him. Just face the fact that there are certain things about God you will never find the answers to.
A self-proclaimed hardcore Christian in search of an answer about God asked the question, “How did God come into existence? One question lead to another under this one question and on to another. At the end He says, I ask this question (which should have read, “I ask these questions), because it’s just too much for my brain to comprehend. There are some things about God that are not for us to comprehend, but rather trust and believe that He is. If you aren’t careful you will become like those who have gone off onto the wrong path and become critics of God’s power and existence.
The New Translation (NLT) of Job 11:7-9 declares,
7 “Can you solve the mysteries of God?
Can you discover everything about the Almighty?
8 Such knowledge is higher than the heavens—
and who are you?
It is deeper than the underworld—
what do you know?
9 It is broader than the earth
and wider than the sea.
In Elihu’s fourth speech in Job 36:26, he says, “Behold God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.” So true. In Job 37:23 he says, Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out; he is excellent in power and judgment.
“I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God” Isaiah 44:6
The Amplified Bible (AMP) Romans 11:33 reads,
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are His judgments (His decisions)! And how untraceable (mysterious, undiscoverable) are His ways (His methods, His paths)!
There are people who day after day weary themselves trying to find answers to God. Be satisfied with the signs of His existence all around us and his desire to have a relationship with mankind. If God told us everything about him, our little minds wouldn’t be able to handle it. God put us here in the earth for other reasons. Enjoy life, he tells us in the Word. It is a gift from God. Do those things that pleases Him, for instance, serving others, and doing what He has called us to do in the earth. Search of him in reference to those things. Its okay to question God about some things concerning him, but also know that there will be times when he will tell you to have faith, trust me, or believe. Don’t weary your flesh trying to figure Him out, for His ways are past finding out!
