Tyra Banks has partnered with Disney-ABC to host a new daytime lifestyle talk show according to an Entertainment Weekly report on Friday. Banks’ new TV hosting gig hasn’t received a name yet, but the new show set to “inspire women” is scheduled for sometime next year.
It’s been four years since the 40 and fabulous supermodel’s “The Tyra Banks Show” has been on the air (2005-2011), however the TV personality has been a tremendous influence for aspiring models worldwide with the CW’s “America’s Next Top Model.” It is reportedly one of the “longest-running reality TV shows on broadcast television,” which has aired 238 episodes and produced “26 international versions.”
Lifestyle topics such as beauty, entertaining, fashion, and individual enterprise are the premises behind Tyra Banks’ newest foray into daytime TV. According to Tyra, as told in Entertainment Weekly, the TV host will lead a team of lifestyle experts who will cover a vast arena of subjects to “inspire women to be the CEO of their lives via honesty, humor, and the newest tips and tricks without being intimidating or precarious.” As is typical of daytime talk, there will be the occasional celebrity guests, “Internet influencers,” experts and laypeople to “share their knowledge” of a particular show topic.
Tyra Banks once again will produce her work and it is in coordination with Disney-ABC’s Summerdale Productions. Banks’ new lifestyle talk show will shoot in Los Angeles, and Tyra’s excitement to get busy was evident in the public statement released this week.

Obviously Tyra Banks wasn’t finished with talk and the powers-at-be at Disney are banking, no pun intended, on the former Victoria Secret’s model’s “fresh energy and humor” to bring viewership. Lisa Hackner, Executive VP of Daytime and Syndicated Programming for ABC Entertainment Group believes Tyra Banks is “more relevant than ever,” and her “extraordinary social media following” coupled with her “legions of fans” are the perfect ingredients fo a successful daytime talk show.
